OGDEN - Historic 25th Street
Historic 25th Street was once headquarters for a bustling railroad town. Its Victorian buildings now hold chic shops and restaurants. Ogden Canyon leads to Snowbasin Resort, site of the Union Station & Historic 25th Street - Turn-of-the-century historic district has antique and boutique shops, cafes and pubs. Union Station houses the Utah Railroad, Browning Firearms, antique car and natural history museums. Antelope Island State Park - The 28,000-acre park in the Great Salt Lake, has beaches, showers, hiking, biking and horseback riding trails, camping, and a historic farm with a herd of 600 bison. Head out to the Fielding Garr Ranch recently refurbished as a classic 19th and early 20th century working farm and ranch on the south end of Antelope Island. Eccles Dinosaur Park - Life-size reproductions of 100+ prehistoric dinosaurs. Located on the three-mile Ogden River Parkway. Golden Spike National Historic Site - Commemorates the completion of the first transcontinental railroad. Includes live demonstrations of authentic replica steam locomotives during the summer. Hill Aerospace Museum - An amazing collection of military aircraft and missiles. Utah Musical Theatre - Summer series of musicals with equity actors in the beautiful Peery's Egyptian Theater. Snowbasin, a Sun Valley Resort - Site of the Downhill, Combined and Super-G events for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Fifty-three runs with a vertical drop of 2,940 feet. Powder Mountain - 5,500 skiable acres with much of it backcountry skiing. Also night skiing.
